This week we have been talking about our nation's birthday, of course.
Monday was field trip day, we got to tag along with my friend Chandelle and her cute kids since they have a big car. We first went down to Pleasant Grove to this park that I had heard about called Discovery Park, it was a bit hard to find but we made it. The kids had fun but it was deathly hot and by then we were hungry.
A quick bite to eat and then we went to visit the candy factory "Sweets" down by the airport. We did this last year and it was fun. The kids had way too much candy though! Love the beautiful hairnets.
My friend Wendy is in town from California so we have been hanging out with her this week.
On Tuesday we went to Gateway and let the kids splash in the fountains, they loved it!
Then on Wednesday, after lunch in the park we went to Wendy's parents' house (where she is staying) and played and played. The kids "swam" in the hot tub, which was warm, not hot, and we used the sprinkler too. They later painted red, white and blue pictures and we made a yummy chocolate cake with cool whip topping and decorated it like a flag. It was very fun, but those three things took us 5 hours to do! It's crazy with 5 kids 7 and under, I don't know how Wendy does it, the youngest ones are hers.
5 had something to say!:
Happiness is like a kiss~you must share it with someone to get the thrill of it!"
I love the new pictures baby! I love your blog....it's awesome!!!
How fun! We went to Sweets last year. Its a fun place!
I don't know how you get anything elsed done when you guys have so much fun, fun, fun. And then you go on so many trips. You are an awesome mom! The kids will remember all the fun things you do with them for the rest of their lives!
It looks like you had a week of fun.
