Swimming Lessons 2009

Thanks Chandelle for these pictures! And a million others ;)

Swim lessons went well this year, except for the fact that there are still things that they both need to work on to move onto the next level.

Jasmine was in level 1 and passed everything but the teacher felt that she needed to get more comfortable in the water.

Shayden was in level 3 this year which I hear is the hardest to pass. He did awesome, especially since this level is not so much the fun and games that all the other levels are! He loved jumping off the diving board.

They both had so much fun, and I loved being able to take the baby to get a little bit wet too.

Field Trips this Summer

We have been doing field trips again this summer, the kids have been enjoying it.

Here are some random pictures, courtesy of Chandelle who graciously helped me out while I was camara-less.
We went to visit Temple Square again and watched the Joseph Smith movie.

And discovered that the family history library in Joseph Smith Building has the cutest little kid play area. If you haven't, you should check it out.
We also went and played at Liberty Park.
And discovered that they clean the "canyons" play area every Tuesday until 3pm :(

And we took a tour of the Governor's Mansion, and discovered that it was cool.

Inseparable Cousins!

MIA

Sorry my blog was missing in action for a while!
I got sick of seeing it soooooooo far behind with no hope or motivation for it to ever get caught up. And then I lost my camera! It was horrible, for the first whole month of summer even! Just when I thought I was going to have to buy a new one, my SWEET husband found it! Guess where? In our 72 hour kits! I guess we were not going to find it until there was a natural disaster!

Shayden's Baptism/Birthday

End of Preschool

Jasmine's end of year Preschool program. Where are the pictures with her teachers? When I find them I will add them. I just want to mention so that someday when Jasmine reads this she will know that she had a crush on the boy sitting directly behind her (Brendan). There I said it.

Jasmine had such an amazing school year, she grew (not literally) by leaps and bounds! I am sooo glad that we found this school. My favorite is that they learned so many songs, so many. Also that she was able to be in the same class with her good friend Aspen. They play so well together now.
She is now "ready" for Kindergarten! I am not ready for her to be going, but she is.

My Gym

My sister won this gift certificate to My Gym and since it was too far from her house to really take advantage of it, she let us have it! How nice is that? That is just how my sister and her family are, they are always giving. This was such a great time for me to use this also, for a bunch of reasons. First of all, Jasmine is like Miss Flexible:

Plus they had a free class for infants under 6 months:

It helped Jasmine build on and learn so many new skills, like the monkey bars and jumping onto the "high" bar. I wish I had a picture of her on the high bar, because she literally fell off and got back on that about 50 times, she did not give up until she mastered it!

Plus Taye was on the verge of crawling and I really think that this helped speed up that process! I am so glad that I got this picture because he will not do this funny pose on his toes anymore. He used to do this and then look down through his legs at you! It was hilarious!

Not to mention that bouncing and ziplines and ball pits are just plain fun!

Jonas' Birthday!

How can I top my birthday?? Every year I try and every year I desperately fail. Sometimes I wish Jonas' birthday was like in November or something, where it won't be in the shadows of mine. Sorry, honey.

Here are a few of the highlights.
On the first day of his birthday week, we went to the Temple for the first time since the baby was born, and that was amazing in and of itself, especially because the Salt Lake Temple is just magical. Then we had such a romantic nice dinner.

We also celebrated with the kids at this fun event downtown but it was kind of rainy and cold. We also ran around and got all of the birthday freebies (icecream, dinners) etc, for his birthday.

And we went over to my parents to share this delicious strawberry pie!

Happy birthday Jonas, you are such an amazing person and I am honored to be your wife!!! Thank you for all you do for our family. I am so glad that you were born!

The rest of my birthday!!!

I wish you could see this picture better...it has "Surprise!" written all over it! My fabulous and amazing husband did it again! He threw me another surprise birthday party, and boy was I surprised! My parents took me out to a nice dinner at the Olive Garden as a decoy and then we came home to this:

The kids all shot silly sting at me, tons of it!!!

There were sooo many friends, neighbors, and family there, it was awesome! And the best part was these ice cream cakes that Jonas made all by himself (well kind of, he did have some help, thanks Martins). They were delicious! It was a blast, thanks soooo much Jonas, you are the best!!! Don't worry, one of these days, you will be taken by surprise...

And here is the one picture from our family dinner/birthday party for the three of us:
