Here is Shayden's class singing in the program during the day.
And Jasmine at her little party.
And earlier on Halloween day we went to Sunflower market and they got to run around and do a scavenger hunt.

I was given the assignment by a very inspired Young Women President to portray Abish, from the Book of Mormon, who if you recall, was very briefly mentioned and one of the only women mentioned at all. At first I didn't even remember who she was. She has now become one of my favorite heroes from the Book of Mormon.
There is a fictional novel written about her story, that was recommended to me in order to prepare for this role. Wow! What a great book! Pick this one up if you can, it is a great read. I think sometimes you read a particular story in the scriptures and you think, that's kind of cool, but there is so little written that you quickly move on to the next story. It was amazing to me to think about this one little story and one possible scenario of how her life may have gone. It made me realize that there is so much more history behind every little story, and I can't wait to someday sit at the feet of some of these great people and hear the true version of how this all came to pass in their own words.

I love when my nieces work at Lagoon because it means we get to get in for really cheap!
This year we went to Frightmares as a date along with my sister's family.
The haunted houses just don't seem to be as scary as when I was younger, but it was still fun. Probably the scariest part was these random people floating around the park, because you didn't expect them. For example walking along and then suddenly there is a girl with no arm limping by you. It was pretty freaky.

When we went to Cornbelly's I signed up to win Jazz Tickets and I won! It was only 2 tickets but Jonas called them and was able to get us 4 nosebleed tickets in exchange for the two that I won, so that the whole family could go. The kids were super excited.
Jasmine loved the fact that they were named "Jazz" kind of like her.

I kissed a pig at Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. I think next year we are going to have to find a way to go to this again, it is like the ultimate fall festival! Except next year I won't kiss a pig.

There was this really great day in September where the kids and I were out literally all day long going to fun festivals and places. The funny thing is, I was looking forward to this day for weeks! I'm a crazy mom.
It started out with Shayden playing Soccer. He did so good as the goalie!

We now have a niece that is going to BYU (okay that's crazy that she is so old, I totally changed her diapers!). Anyway, so we went to Provo to celebrate Labor Day so that she could join in the celebration.
Here is all of us at our picnic at a park. The college student is the silly one in the front.

We went with my parents to a little health fair in West Jordan.
Shayden got to hold an enormous snake. He would have been terrified to do this last year.

We had a special family dinner the night before with our cousins, where the kids filled out their little time capsules for this year and opened the ones from last year. I wish I had the answers to post here, but maybe later.

We went to this fun "Old Fashioned Picnic" and they weren't kidding. When we got to the line for the "shuttle" this is what came and picked us up:
