Jetblue has a fun day for the kids.
Shayden got to be the pilot on their trip to Aruba.
And Jasmine was the flight attendant. The basket is almost bigger than she is.
The cutest happened when they got to talk and ask questions to a pilot. (A female one at that!) Jasmine wanted to ask a question and so she asked me for some ideas, I gave her a few but then she raised her hand and in the softest sweetest voice, she asked "Do you fly to Heaven?" The pilot just took it in stride and said, "no, not quite that high up". It was so adorable!
But the best thing that happened that day was that we ran into the best of friends that we hadn't seen in forever. Paty just started working at Jetblue not long ago. They were sorting people into groups as they got there, so if we had gotten there even 5-10 minutes later, we would have been in a different group. And talking to Paty, it was just what I needed. We started talking about problems that we were having and it turns out that we had been going through similar tough times. This girl is so inpired, she amazes me. It was just a testament that angels are among us all the time and put in our path to help us. I haven't seen her since, because of course, I am a slacker friend, but when I do I am sure it will be like no time passed again!
