Wendy came home in January, so we spent some quality time bonding and letting the kids play. One day we went to the children's museum.

We were one of the lucky ones that got to do service and get a free day at Disney! So we are really looking forward to going to Disneyland this year! We chose to do our service at BYU for labor day, as part of their big campus wide service day. And now we have been inspired to make this a tradition for each labor day. It was great because it started with a devotional (and the donuts didn't hurt) and then we got to go make "tutus" together for kids at a local Head Start.

Ice Skating
In January we went ice skating a couple of times. Shayden has never wanted to ice skate before, he thought it was too scary. But this time he was eager to try and did pretty good. Jasmine (she has always been a risk taker) was excited to give it a shot. Because they were doing a "class" she got a bucket to slide around and had a ball! Then later in the month, we went back for a regular open session so she couldn't use the bucket, which she did not like at all. She did try a couple of times, but in the end, she gave up. We will have to keep trying.

Ringing in the New Year
This year we celebrated the new year by going to the Training Table earlier in the evening with the family, and then going home to celebrate on our own. It was quite nice.
